It is worth while to mention here that, Koraput is one of the rare destination which is awarded with GIAHS (Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System )award by UN for its indigenous agriculture system.BONDA, GODABA, PARAJA , DHURUBA, DIDAHI ,MALI, RANA are the common tribes or habitants who deserve this award for their aged old tradition of farmng.

Koraput is well connected by road, train from Bhubaneswar , Visakhapatnam and the nearest airport is Visakhapatnam (vtz) which is almost four hour drive. You need to have about a week to explore KORAPUT and its cultural, natural beauty.
